Misty Reynolds, JD
I am a native to Fairhope, AL and a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ. My parents (David & Carolyn Till) raised me within the churches of Christ in Baldwin County. In 1991, I received the Silver Congressional Award for initiative, achievement and service. I earned my undergraduate degree at Auburn University in 1995 (BA in English, qualified magna cum laude) and post graduate studies at the University of Alabama School of Law where I earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1998. Law school honors included an externship with the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Alabama, Farrah Law Society, the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and the Jessup International Moot Court Team.
After graduation I passed the Alabama Bar Exam and went on to practice with two different Mobile law firms in the area of corporate litigation defense. During private practice, I served as an adjunct law professor for Faulkner University at the Mobile campus. In 2002, I published an article in the For the Defense magazine which was aimed for defense, insurance, and corporate counsel.
Next I clerked for the Honorable Judge Pamela Willis Baschab with the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals, and assisted her in performing legal research for her book "Domestic Violence Law in Alabama." Beginning in 2003, I worked as Pro Se Law Clerk at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. In 2012, I transitioned into the role of Attorney Advisor to the Administrative Law Judges at the Office of Hearing Operations at the Social Security Administration in Mobile, AL. In 2022, I was approved for early retirement due to health related constraints.
I am currently working towards another degree, a Masters of Ministry in Ministerial Care & Counseling, from Heritage Christian University. I have periodically taken audit courses, including counseling and ministry, to learn more about spiritual and mental health. I received certification in "Youth Mental Health First Aid" through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (2022). I volunteer for my church family at the Summerdale Church of Christ, where my husband serves as the Pulpit Minister. I serve as the CEO of Peachtree Press, LLC. My goal is to pursue certification in Life Coaching and further my education in Counseling and Ministry.
